Technician performing emissions diagnostics

Our specialty

Failed the Virginia emissions test? Bring it here.

Northern Virginia requires an emissions inspection every two years for most vehicles, and a failed test stops your registration renewal. We read the codes, find the real cause — sensor, catalytic converter, EVAP leak, misfire — repair it to specification, run the readiness drive cycle, and get you back for the re-test. It has been the shop's specialty since 2005.

The people who work on your car.

Three technicians, one owner on the floor, and no one working on commission. The person who diagnoses your car is the person who fixes it — and the person you talk to at the counter.

“The mechanics there are honest and straight to the point, which is honestly hard to find these days. They took the time to look over my car properly and explained everything in a way that actually made sense. No pressure, no unnecessary repairs — just real suggestions about what needed attention now and what could safely wait.”

“We stopped in (on our second day of vacation) because our brakes were making noise. They drove us back to our hotel, took our car to their shop and replaced the brakes. They also picked us up from a restaurant. All this within three hours! Price was reasonable also!”

FAQ

Before you bring it in.

Does servicing my car at an independent shop void the warranty?

No. Under federal law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) a manufacturer cannot void your warranty because maintenance was done at an independent shop. We perform every service to factory standards and specifications, keep records, and use dealer or OEM-quality parts, so your warranty stays intact.

Do you give written estimates?

Yes. We diagnose first, explain what we found, and give you a written estimate before any work begins. If something else turns up during the job, we call before proceeding.

What parts do you use?

Dealer parts and OEM-quality aftermarket parts, depending on the repair and your preference. We tell you which is being used and why.

Can I drop my car off after hours?

Yes. Night drop is available — leave the key in the drop box with a note describing the problem and your phone number, and we will call you in the morning.

Call the shop. Talk to the people who do the work.

Written estimate before any work. Same-day service whenever the schedule allows. Saturday hours and night drop for busy weeks.
